Ready to Fly

I stand at the precipice ready to fly
My heart is filled with wonder
at the world before me
A world of fields, mountains and sky.

The sun rises shouting a new day is nigh
Voices permeate the air
Birds sing a song of praise
A chorus lifts up their cry.

How can I say it?
With what word or song can I express
my gratitude for your mercy and grace?
You have lifted the burden upon my soul
Restoring my heart with joy.

You set a new path ahead for me to try
Let your Spirit dwell in me
Through the peaks and valleys of life
On you Lord I know I can rely.
