This year for film photography day, Sat. April 12, I watched a photography related movie called “Camera” (IMDb link). See also this Digital Camera World article. It is about a boy, Oscar, with a Mamiya film camera through which he sees and speaks to the world. He meets Eric, a repairman in the fishing village where he moves to. The movie shows what photography is about and has a moving story about the main characters. On Sunday I went to Agassiz with my Pentax K1000, unfortunately when I got there the light meter wasn’t working. I still took a few photos, but will need to finish off the roll of film later. The light meter was able to be fixed with a new battery.
I replaced the battery later for the camera to get the light meter to work again. On another sunny day in May I continued and finished the roll of film in Harrison Hot Springs by Harrison Lake.
Below are some of the resulting prints from Agassiz (left) and Harrison Hot Springs (right)

- note the movie “Camera” is available on Apple TV for rent or purchase in Canada.
